The Sopraninio is half an octave higher then the soprano saxophone. The soprano saxophone it usually pitched in Bb while the Sopranino saxophone is almost always in Eb.
Northwest Musical Instrument Company NMI - was founded because of the need for local music stores that carry a wide range of REAL musical instruments: trumpets, trombones, french horns, clarinets, flutes, saxophones, violins, cellos, stringed basses and tubas. We started out as an antique selling company specializing in unusual and non typical furniture, collectibles and used musical instruments. This is still an important part of the business, shopping should always be fun!
While searching the internet to see if my site could be found in the search engines, “Northwest Musical Instrument Company”, I found an interesting picture.
“The Assumption of the Virgin”
by Filippino Lippi in the church of S. Maria sopra Minerva, Rome.
The claim was the it was the earliest known picture of a trombone, perhaps. But I found the painted quite interesting and have decided to share it on the site.
